Shirley Madeline Worley

Shirley Madeline Worley, age eighty-three, wife of Arnold Worley, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at one o’clock in the afternoon at Rock Springs Baptist Church, lead by Steven and Stewart Jones with burial to follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at eleven o’clock that morning at the church.

Shirley was born on May 25, 1942, in the Jones Hollow community to James Oscar Jones and Addie Frances Jones. After graduating from high school, she began her career at the McCreary County Circuit Clerk’s Office and later worked in the mail sorting department of a graphic arts business. After ending her career, she loved babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles, and tending her garden. Above all, she cherished her faith in Jesus Christ and treasured the moments spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children, Greg and Amanda; infant brothers, Bronnie and Eugene; and brothers Herstle, Othel, Donald, and Jimmie.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lisa Harp, and her husband, Bill; brothers Kenneth Jones and his wife, Thelma, Alan Jones and his wife, Brenda, Danny Jones and his wife, Carrie, and Clyde Jones and his wife, Joann; sisters Anna Ruth Morrow and her husband, Benny, Patsy Crisp, and Christine Coffey; grandchildren Bethany Harp with her fiancé, Omar, Jordan Dembski, and her husband Kyle, Madeline Bowman, and her husband Ian; great-grandchildren Archer, Lincoln, Hudson, Blake, along with many nieces and nephews.
