Grand jury returns indictments

The McCreary County Grand Jury filed indictments against numerous individuals in January, including charges against the following individuals:

-Allen Braden of Pine Knot, KY for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense.

-Gregory Gholson of Whitley City, KY for (1) Assault in the First Degree (by allegedly stabbing and causing serious physical injury) (2) Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree (3) Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.

-Brandon Alexander, Pine Knot, KY, for (1) Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration (3) Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.

-Allen Braden, Pine Knot, KY, for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense.

-Gregg Faulkner of Whitley City, KY, for (1) Assault in the First Degree (on a passenger in his vehicle, with a knife and thereby causing serious physical injury) (2) Menacing  (3) Obstructing an emergency responder.

-Travis Frederick, Parkers Lake, KY, for (1) Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree (2) Assault in the First Degree (3) Terroristic Threatening in the Third Degree (4) Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree

-Adam Hill, Whitley City, KY, for (1) Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (2) Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense.

-Timothy Hoskins, Monticello, KY, for (1) Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (2) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.

-Brianna M. Lawson, Whitley City, KY, for (1) Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (2) Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, First Offense (3) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.

-Heather Larsen, Parkers Lake, KY, two counts for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense Methamphetamine  (in two indictments for charges from April 24 and June 7, 2023).

-Eddie Mobley, Stearns, KY, for (1) Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine) and (2) Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree.

-Debra Moses of Strunk, KY for (1) Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine) and  (2) Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Degree, First Offense (Fentanyl.)

-Sandra Spradlin of Pine Knot, KY for (1) Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense and (2) Trafficking in Marijuana Five Pounds or More First Offense (Marijuana) with second indictment for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine.)

-Amanda Strunk of Revelo, KY for two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine) (two indictments for charges occurring on April 24 and 27, 2023.)

-Matthew Sumner of Pine Knot, KY for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine/April 20, 2023) and second indictment for Trafficking in Controlled Substance, First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine/June 6, 2023.)

-Jacob Troxell of Whitley City, KY was charged with six counts:  (1) Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree  (2) Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (3) Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree (4) Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree (5) Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (6) Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree.

-Roy Worley of Stearns, KY, for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree, First Offense, (Methamphetamine.)

The following indictments were returned as indictments by information:

The Commonwealth’s Attorney charged (1) Posession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine) against the following individuals:  James H. Barnett (Parkers Lake, KY), Danny Bryant (Pine Knot, KY), Charles Chestnut (Whitley City, KY), Alexandra Castle (London, KY), Linda Gregory (Stearns, KY), Tambra Mitchell (Parkers Lake, KY), Debra Moses (Strunk, KY), Misty Murphy (Whitley City, KY), Kevin Edward Smith (Burnside, KY), Rubin Worley (Stearns, KY), and Thomas Zink (Stearns, KY).
