It is almost time for voters across the Commonwealth to cast their ballots in Kentucky’s statewide primary election. Voters in the May primary election will choose candidates to represent the Republican and Democratic parties in November’s general election.
Early voting for excused in-person absentee voting begins May 3 and continues at the McCreary County Courthouse on May 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
In addition, three days of early voting are open to all voters (no excuse absentee voting) at the McCreary County Courthouse on May 11 and 12 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, May 13 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
A drop box will be inside the McCreary County Courthouse for drop-off absentee ballots.
Statewide offices, including the governorship, are on the May ballot. Regular election day with polls open at 6 voting centers across McCreary County is on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
