Katie Elizabeth Rose

Katie Elizabeth Rose, age 94 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly in London, Kentucky.

She was born in New Liberty, Kentucky on February 23, 1931 the daughter of the late Hal and Lula (Brooks) Bryant. Katie was a homemaker and a member of the Greenwood Fellowship Church of God. Gardening, flowers, going to Church and traveling were her enjoyments in life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Rose; daughters, Truie Marie Parriman, Judy Kay Rose, and Cathy Ellen Rose; brothers, Willie Bryant and Kelly Bryant; and sisters, Marie Richter, Allene Monroe, Myrtle Bryant, Roseanna Bryant, Sarah Koon, and Gertie Bryant.

Survivors include her sons, Walter Wayne Rose and David Coy Rose (Barbara) both of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; daughters, Mary Lou Taylor of Whitley City, Kentucky and Linda Sue Walstrom of London, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Holloway Cemetery. The family received friends after 6:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Funeral Home.
