Eric “Allen” Daugherty

Eric “Allen” Daugherty was born on March 4, 1955, in Roseburg, Oregon, and passed away on Sept. 18, 2025. Allen’s family was originally from Strunk, Kentucky, and spent a lot of his earlier childhood years traveling between Kentucky and Oregon, but he attended the majority of his school years in Roseburg, Oregon.

He volunteered for the Oregon Fish and Wildlife and rehabilitated native wildlife, did native wildlife school shows and had the oldest falconry license in Oregon. He loved to fly his Falcon, Lindsey. Fat Girl, his Great Horned Owl, would visit him every night. Allen loved to hunt and spend time in the woods with family and friends. Allen worked at Roberts Creek Water District, City of Winston and created and owned BW (buckwheat- his nickname) Flowers with his wife Deena. He had quite the sense of humor, loved to tell hunting stories, was loved dearly and will never be forgotten.

Allen was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice, grand parents, and survived by his wife Deena, sons Cory, Jeremy, Bruce, father Jesse (Aaron), and sister Pam. Celebration of Life was Sept. 28, with lots of people attending in remembrance of the great person he was.
