McCreary County
Cooperative Extension will host the 4-H R/C Club 2024 Wrap Up Meeting & Pizza Party at Juicebox Hobbies on Friday, January 31st at 6PM.
VFW Post 5127 will hold its February Meeting on Sunday Feb 8th at 3pm at VFW Post on Mainstreet Whitley City. Commander Galloway invites all members to attend the meeting. Superbowl Pot luck dinner is scheduled after the meeting.
Mountain Craft Center will host their monthly meeting Tues February 4th at 11:00AM at the VFW in Whitley City , weather permitting. Everyone welcome.
McCreary County
Cooperative Extension will host Soil Testing & Forage Establishment with guest speaker Steve Prewitt at the Extension Office on Tuesday, February 11th at 6PM.
The McCreary County Youth Baseball/Softball League will hold signups at the McCreary County Public Library on Sat. February 15, & Sat. February 22, from 10AM – 2PM. Registration fee is $50 per player, $90 for two siblings & $25 for each additional sibling. The age groups for the League’s 2025 season will be as follows: Weeball – 3–4-year-olds, Teeball – 5–6-year-olds, Coach Pitch Baseball – 7–8-year-olds, Baseball – 9–12-year-olds, Softball 9–12-year-olds. The 2025 season will open in the spring.
