James Anderson Worley

James Anderson Worley, age 81, of London, KY passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the Greg and Noreen Wells Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Hazard Kentucky February 27, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Born April 21, 1944 in McCreary County, KY to the late Howard and Myrtle Worley. He attended school in McCreary County and after graduation he went on to pursue jobs with K&T Railroad, construction, and then after much hard work and dedication he went on to own numerous businesses. Everyone that knew Jim would speak of his friendly demeanor, outgoing nature, and his success in any endeavor he pursued. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Myrtle and Howard Worley, his brother, Bobby Joe Worley, and the mother of his children, Nancy Worley.

Jim is survived by his wife, Darlene Worley, London KY, daughter Tracey Strunk (Richard), Somerset KY, son, Jeff Worley (Leslie Caldwell) Somerset KY, stepdaughter, Ladonya Rice (Shane) London Ky, grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Chloe, Addy, Emmie, great grandson, Carter, and sister-in law, Linda Worley.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7,2026 at Hickman Strunk Funeral Home, Whitley City, KY at 1:00 pm with burial in the Lower Hickory Grove Church Cemetery.
